THE BRIEF

Our brief was to install a large television and high spec speakers that wouldn’t detract from this home’s rustic charm. We were asked to source and install speakers that would provide the highest quality audio but could be disguised as part of the decor, as our clients were keen to avoid bulky equipment that would clutter up their contemporary yet cosy living room. They also wanted reliable music streaming throughout the downstairs, so they could enjoy their favourite songs in every room. The final part of our initial brief was to install a SKY box in a clever location, which could service the living room, kitchen and master bedroom televisions, in full HD.

SET UP

We installed a 55” 4K Panasonic TV with Smart functions, along with a SKY box in the loft that provides full HD distribution to the living room, kitchen and master bedroom. Audio is supplied by an Arcam amplifier, two Speakercraft ceiling speakers and three Artcoustic front speakers, the latter blending seamlessly into the décor with their traditional print covers. An Artcoustic subwoofer is also discretely located, providing impressive bass for both music and film. A multitude of Sonos boxes provide audio coverage for four different zones. The system is conveniently controlled via either an all-in-one remote control or iPad. A PS4 tucked into the media unit provides gaming access without cluttering up surfaces.
