THE BRIEF

Our clients wanted their family to be able to fully utilise their expansive ground floor, enjoying different music and TV in each room. They were keen to have a television in both the kitchen and family room, so that whoever was on cooking duty was able to catch up on their favourite programmes or listen to music. It was also important to them that the pool was visible from the family room as a security measure, so that children could be kept an eye on whilst playing outside. In addition, they wanted to be able to listen to music outside too, to make those summer get togethers even more memorable.

SET UP

We installed a 65” 4K Panasonic TV in the family room along with a SKY Q mini box, Apple TV and Blu-Ray player, all controllable via a universal remote control. In the kitchen a secondary TV allows other members of the family to watch a different channel via the centralised SKY box. We installed two pairs of speakers across the two rooms, as well as two Sonos boxes, giving distinct audio for each zone. In the pool area, a further Sonos box and four speakers provide audio for the outside space. We also ensured that Wi-Fi coverage was consistent and comprehensive throughout the entire property, including in the garden. A pool camera can be viewed via the Family Room’s 65” TV screen.
